Overview
Located twenty-five miles north of Boston, Massachusetts, the Northeast regional service center is also the home of Bodycote’s corporate headquarters and the Research and Development and Product Manufacturing departments.
Andover is the hub of the network of four regional service centers now operated by Bodycote in the US. IMT was founded in 1968 and joined the worldwide Bodycote Metal Technology Group in 1992.
This regional center provides a wide range of services in a state-of-the-art facility. Capabilities have been upgraded recently with the installation of new HIP and CIP equipment, more sophisticated computer control systems and totally redesigned product manufacturing facilities.
HIP services include the densification of a wide variety of materials. Aerospace engine components, superalloy gas turbine blades and vanes, commercial steel castings, powder metal billets, ceramics, plastics and glasses have all been routinely HIP’d in this facility.
